Here is a photo of Noel & Bailey with Ms. Hubbard. Several days ago, Noel, Bailey and myself planned a visit to Ms. Hubbard's. I had not been feeling well and considered canceling the visit or rescheduling. But, I went anyway and I'm so glad I did. You see, Ms. Hubbard has some physical challanges yet she manages to make so many lovely things with her frail, small hands, that it's hard to imagine how she does it. Of course she had to give each one of us a special gift that she had made. Actually, she would have given us almost anything in her house if we would have allowed her to. She has a heart as big as all outdoors! We only planned to stay for a short time but we visited for over an hour and it went by before I realized it. And , you know, by the time I left, I had completely forgotten about not feeling well. I planned the visit in order to be a blessing to Ms. Hubbard. How foolish I felt at the very idea, as I realized what a blessing she is to every one she meets.

There are others like Ms. Hubbard that could use a little help and a visit from time to time. That is why it is so important to gather up the things that you don't want any longer and bring them to our yard sale. The funds will be used to help others like this dear lady. Please come out to the office parking lot at United Carolina Group on Saturday, May 2, 2009! It's spring so what a great time to clean out the garage, closet or basement. Bring those unwanted items and join us at our first big yard sale! We look forward to seeing you!

Here's a special message from our pastor, Don Ingle. We are looking for good condition, saleable items in order to raise the funds needed to buy groceries, pay utility bills and provide temporary shelter for the needy. It's a difficult time for many families and they need your help. Check the garage, basement and all around the house or office and see what you have. No item is too large or too small. If it's saleable, we'll take it!! Also, we appreciate those that have responded with offers of cash donations that do not live in close proximity. Yes, we will take cash too! Thanks to everyone for all your support and kind words of encouragement!
